Pont du Gard is an amazing piece of history, architecture,
engineering and beauty. It is so photogenic and even though very popular it seems
peaceful and commanding as it reaches across the valley. The surrounding
environment is alsoi very pretty with lovely sandbanks, rocky outcrops, forest,
winding trails and sparkling waters. Can you tell that the weather has improved?
Our campground is also very nice with shaded woody areas,
paths leading off to the river and good
facilities (tripadvisor warning).
What a great spot for a campground. Obviously not canoeing weather! That mistral is a killer isn't it? If you are going to Ventou, choose a sunny still day!
