Luxembourg forest

We stopped in Luxembourg because we knew the campground and it has hot showers, heated change rooms and sells dutch krokets with patats frites. The weather had been dodgy for about three days and  included rain, sleet, hail with bursts of sun.

Before dinner Jood and I went for a forest walk right next to the campground. It was a lovely setting but it started to rain so we raced home. After dinner we tried again and this time we were blessed with sunshine and a shiny, cleanly-washed forest, lots of moss and birdsong. Unfortunately we saw no squirrels.

There were also a series of small lakes with interesting trees lining the banks. The new growth of spring-time leaves is in clumps and appears as large bird nests in silhouette.
Anyway, the city of Luxembourg didn't get a look-in.
