Benny Muller

Benny Muller and his wife Nelly were the landlords for our apartment in Harlemmerstraat. A lovely couple who enjoyed a chat and were obviously used to tourists. They welcomed my "dutch" and Benny loved my retro Holland tracksuit top. He told me that it was similar to the one he used to wear... when he played football for Holland. Yes he's an ex- Ajax and Holland international. Played with Johan Cruijff, Sjaak Swart and Piet Keizer. His son Danny also played with Cruijff's Barcelona side. Naturally I was impressed and we shared a few stories- mainly his.
Hope to catch up with him next time I'm in town. I might score a seat with him at an Ajax match. 

I think he really like my football t shirt with football card heros from the 70s with cool moustaches. Made him all nostalgic.
